Blow hot, blow cold

One of the frustrations of soldering components is waiting for the soldering iron to heat up, and then again waiting for it to cool down so you can pack it away.
Coldheat has a soldering iron that heats up and cools back down again almost instantly. Its already available at ThinkGeek. ThinkGeek is evil.

PDA

I'm looking for a PDA. Would like to have it combined with a cell phone. It would be nice if the phone was multi band and multi standard. GSM & CDMA. It should have a coke, candy & popcorn dispenser. It should be very cheap. I am nopt going to get this in a hurry.
Royaltek has a nice solution though. The RTW-1000 has a phone with Pocket PC & GPS. Well its a starting point.

Will this get implemented

Microsoft has a patent 6,754,472 that defines the use of the human body as a power and data bus. The last line of the patent reads "need not be limited to being a body of a human being", so I guess that covers the MS Mutt plugin.
Well if this ever comes to market it will have some security and stability issues. Imagine you are typing away on your MS Skin patch and suddenly you feel like scratching and it erases it all? Or is that pretty girl sitting in the reception just tapping her fingers to the music or is she scanning the network.
I shall not take a risk. I think I need to strip search some colleagues... for security reasons of cource. Suspected use of unauthorised concealed MS Skin devices. Its just my job. Nothing personal.

Hitchhiking

The movie I have waited for is here. Touchstone's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I need an improbability drive and a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster right now. That site is a bit heavy on bandwith so you might want to read about it here on How Things Work.
I need to buy this on DVD.
