Hard Disc

Last weekend my Hard disc at home started whining and finally died. So I won't be bloggin much for a while until Maxtor replaces my disc. Worse still, Knoppix refuses to work on my 815 based motherboard.

Messed up BMWs

Tushar & me were talking about how BMW dont get mods. Today I have found a rightly named BMW Nightmare Webpage. Ugh. Some people really mess up their cars.

Desktop search again

Installed Microsoft Desktop search. It does not come alone, but, as part of MSN Toolbar Suite.
So far I have tried out Google's Desktop search - Loved interface hated the lack of PDF indexing & it did not like my firewall so could not install on my home machine. Tried Coppernic - hated the interface. Interface issue was probably my personal problem, but anyways.
MSN Search asked for Adobe® PDF IFilter 5.0 that allows it to index PDFs. Thats fine by me.
Wonder why it installed ver 5.0 since 6.0 is also available but let see what happens, I can always upgrade later. Adobe site is quite silent on this product.
