How do they wear things like that? Must be uncomfortable. A lil more and they would be over the shoulder.

Low flying planes

Since the day the city got flooded, I have been suffering from low flying planes overhead. Since the airport is not yet fully functional again, the flight path has changed. Now the planes disturb me day and night. This morning I decided to log the frequency. Its bad. Its loud.

Sharp Displays

Sharp has got this new LCD Display technolgy that lets a single monitor simultaneously display two different images. Read article here. I am not as yet convinced that this will be so big for home aplications. They have also got some LCD technolgy that allows a very limited viewing angle for secure display. Hmmmm already thought that was out there. Its weird really, the old LCD displays had very limited viewing angles and that was a problem that was overcome. And now we are working on technology to reduce the viewing angle.

Teeny weeny, itsy bitsy

Cornice has 4Gb 1inch drives suitable for portable devices. They call them Storage Elements. Call them what you like, they are going to let you carry much more data with you. I wonder how soon we are going to see Veritas, Arcserve and others with software to back up your cell phone or pda. TechOnline has an article on these new drives.

John Zachary DeLorean

This weird page took me on a search. What looked like some silly drawing took me to the John_De_Lorean page at Wikipedia.

RSS Screensaver

I wanted a RSS Screenscaver like Mac has for Windows. Accenture has a screen saver doing just that here. However, it uses .Net, so it will suck memory I fear. Better to roll your own using Axialis.
Funny thing is, Accenture doesnt seem to have an RSS feed of their own site.

Tattoos

Yup, an arty day. Go see tattoos.

Tsunami Art

Found a few pages of art inspired by the Tsunami. Lorena Babcock Moore's work is particularly amazing, as is the text that goes with it. Other art here and here.
