Praveen can tell you much about ClamAV. I've been using it for an in-line mail filter on FreeBSD/Postfix. Haven't rebooted the box since it went live (6-odd months).

did install it, but then removed it, no auto detect, if i have to figure out where the virus is, then anti virus kiya karega!
